Open or connect a matter
Choose the Clio matter you want to work on. Lattice brings the matter shell, contacts, documents, calendar events, and tasks into one workspace without changing the source records.
Confirm parties and roles
Review the people and organizations attached to the matter. Assign each one a role so claims and proof can be read from the correct perspective.
Add the claims in play
Select claims from the jurisdiction-aware library or create a matter-specific claim. Lattice adds the required elements as a starting structure—not a legal conclusion.
Connect facts and evidence
Add the facts that support or rebut each element, then link the source documents. A fact may support more than one element without being duplicated.
Review gaps and next actions
Use the proof graph and stage board together. Weak elements become visible beside the deadlines and tasks that can move the matter forward.
Lattice is organized around two axes: time and proof. The stage board shows where the matter is going; the proof graph shows whether the case can get there.
Before you begin
You need access to the matter you plan to review and permission to view its related contacts and documents. If your firm uses Clio, finish the connection flow before opening your first matter.
A useful first session
Do not try to model the entire case at once. Start with one dispositive claim, map its required elements, and attach the strongest known fact to each. The empty places are useful: they reveal where investigation and discovery should concentrate.
What Lattice does not decide
Lattice organizes attorney judgment; it does not replace it. Claim templates, extracted facts, suggested links, and AI-assisted intake remain proposals until you review and approve them.
